The Central Alberta Historical Society is a chapter of the Historical Society of Alberta (HSA), a provincial historical organization that has affiliations with museums, libraries and other history-related facilities and organizations across the province. A registered charitable, non-profit society, CAHS is mandated to promote and preserve the history of Red Deer and the surrounding district.

 

The Society presents Historic Red Deer Week as one of its main events and works in partnership with a number of heritage-minded organizations to organize the festival.
